Your adventure with us
Sahaja is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘natural or spontaneous enlightenment.’ You can experience it through activities like yoga, dance, art, journaling, and meditation.
These Sahaja practices help you reach a calm, peaceful state called thoughtless awareness, or flow, where your mind quiets and you feel balanced and centered.
They also guide you to connect with your true self and inner strength, helping you discover your deepest wishes and what truly matters to you.

Meet the teachers
Mona and Andres’ friendship grew naturally during the months they spent together in South Africa at the start of 2025. They share a deep love for yoga — its richness, its diversity, and its power to bring people together. Both feel called to create community through movement and the yogic lifestyle, learning from their teachers and from one another along the way.
‘Sahaja,’ the intuitive and creative flow, lies at the core of their shared practice. Their aim is to combine their strengths and passions to craft truly transformative experiences. Through Sahaja-inspired practices, they hope to help guests arrive fully in the moment, reconnect with themselves, and feel powerful, grounded, and free.
Mona
Mona is an Austrian yoga teacher and the founder of Sahaja Retreats. For the past decade she has immersed herself in the world of health and wellness, always drawn to movement as a way to express herself and connect with her energy, creativity, and intuition. She has hosted over fifteen retreats and loves creating spaces where people feel safe, inspired, and deeply connected.
Her journey began at eighteen, when she traveled to Bali for her first yoga teacher training. Since then, she has explored yoga and healing around the world — from advanced trainings in Mexico and Sweden to silent meditation retreats and studies in India. Mona’s greatest passion is bringing people together through yoga and movement. She believes in intuitive practice, in freeing ourselves from limitations, and in growing into the happiest, most authentic versions of who we are.
Andres
Andres is a Mexican yoga and wellness instructor based in Amsterdam, known for his energetic, supportive, and community-driven teaching style. A lifelong love of movement—from sports to organizing global events—naturally evolved into a deep passion for yoga, leading him to teach in Bali, Mexico City, London, and Amsterdam.
He describes his approach as society yoga: a playful mix of creativity, light-heartedness, and a touch of Mexican spice. His classes are uplifting yet grounding, designed to energize the body and create space for awareness, joy, and connection. For Andres, yoga is a way of living with purpose. He loves holding space for people to move, grow, and reconnect with themselves on and off the mat.
Isabelle
Isabelle is a passionate chef from London who followed her culinary dreams to become a yacht chef, working across the Mediterranean. She embraces a philosophy rooted in fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local markets. Her expertise ensures an authentic and flavourful experience, always using top-quality local ingredients. For Isabelle, cooking is pure joy—a creative journey through diverse cuisines, crafting dishes that ignite the senses. Now settled on the island of Mallorca, she has developed a deep appreciation for plant-based cuisine and is excited to bring her vibrant, flavour-packed creations to Sahaja Retreat.
