What is Sahaja?

Sahaja is a Sanskrit term which translates to ‘spontaneous enlightenment’. It can be experienced through creative and intuitive movements and activities such as yoga, dance, art, journaling and meditation.

Through Sahaja practices, we can achieve a state of meditation known as thoughtless awareness or state of flow. Being in this state makes us feel balanced and at peace.

While allowing us to explore our authentic self and unique power, Sahaja practices also help us to discover our deepest wishes and desires.

All our food is served with the intention to nourish and replenish the body. Meals are prepared using fresh and local produce. Every morning and evening we offer healthy vegetarian/vegan meals. Any dietary requirements, such as lactose or gluten, can be catered for on request.

Meet the teachers

Naoise and Mona’s friendship formed naturally as they spent several months together in the desert of Mexico in 2022. They dove deeper into the subtle aspects of yoga during an advanced teacher training, enhancing their teaching skills and learning both from their teachers and from one another.

‘Sahaja’, or intuitive and creative flow, is a cornerstone of the practice that Mona and Naoise share. Their goal is to combine their skills and passion to create a transformative experience for their guests. They wish to use Sahaja practices to help their guests be fully present, reconnect with themselves, and feel powerful and free.

Mona

Mona is an Austrian yoga teacher and personal trainer who has been working in the health and wellness field for the past 10 years. She has always been drawn to movement and sports as a way of expressing herself and connecting with her endless energy and creativity. At the age of eighteen, her passion for the mind-body connection brought her to Bali, Indonesia, where she became a certified yoga teacher. Her journey continued when Mona traveled to Mexico to attend an advanced yoga teacher training and explore the world of Shamanism. She recently visited Rishikesh, India, to further deepen her knowledge and participated in several silent meditation retreats. Mona believes that yoga is about moving intuitively and freeing ourselves from limitations, enabling us to grow into the happiest, brightest, and most authentic versions of ourselves.

Naoise

Naoise is an Irish yoga teacher, who feels very connected with her Celtic roots, and has been fascinated by Yoga from a young age. She believes that it is a wonderful tool to feel grounded in today’s world, as well as helping us feel balanced and in touch with our true selves during every phase of life. Movement has always been a huge part of Naoise’s life and a degree in Sport Science has given her a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, which she incorporates into her teachings. Her philosophy is that yoga is not about the pursuit of perfection or achieving that ‘perfect pose’, but an inward journey of self-discovery and transformation. Naoise teaches from the heart. She loves guiding students through creative sequences and fun combinations to help them move freely, explore their edge and feel open to take on all that life brings.

Millie

Millie is a passionate chef from London, who followed her culinary dreams to become a Yacht and Private Villa Chef across the Mediterranean. Millie embraces a philosophy of fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local markets. Her expertise ensures an authentic and flavorsome experience with top-quality local ingredients. For Millie, cooking is pure joy. She explores diverse cuisines, crafting delightful dishes that ignite the senses.

What previous guests have said

  • This retreat will be hosted from 17-21st April 2025.

  • We will practice a mix of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga, with an emphasis on Sahaja movement and intuitive connection.

  • You don’t need any prior yoga experience to join the retreat. Classes are appropriate for beginner, intermediate, and advanced yogis.

    Rooms start at a prelaunch rate of €1095 and standard rate of €1195

  • The retreat staff can assist in English and German. All classes and activities will be held in English.

  • We offer shuttle transportation to and from Mallorca (PMI) Airport at a price of €40 each way. You are also welcome to make your own travel arrangements to the retreat. It’s a 60 minute drive from the airport to the villa.

    Check in is from 3pm onwards on April 17th and check out is at 10am on April 21st.

  • There are direct Ryanair flights from Vienna and Dublin to and from PMI Airport.
